Welcome to Neurology Oklahoma

Dear Patients and Families:

I have practiced Neurology in Oklahoma City since 2003. I was born in Oklahoma City and went to high school at Putnam City High School. I then went to the University of Tulsa for undergraduate studies. I attended medical school at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. I then trained in neurology residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. I hold a board certification in Adult Neurology by the ABPN.

Finishing training I knew I wanted to move back home to diagnose and treat Oklahomans with neurological problems.

Neurology is a specialty of medicine that evaluates and treats the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord). Neurology also evaluates and treats the peripheral nervous system (spinal nerve, peripheral nerves and muscle).

There are many reasons that patients come to see a neurologist. Some symptoms that lead people to a neurologist might include:

  • headache
  • seizure
  • passing out
  • tremor
  • weakness or clumsiness
  • balance loss
  • stroke
  • numbness in the hands or feet
  • spine or sciatica pain
  • peripheral neuropathy
  • carpal tunnel syndrome

  • concussion
  • head injury
  • vision changes
  • restless legs
  • problems walking
  • falls
  • TIA
  • neck pain
  • dizziness
  • muscle cramping
  • pain in hands or feet

A neurologist should take a thorough history, perform a neurological examination and then determine if other testing is needed. Sometimes MRI or CT scans are ordered. EMG or EEG testing can be performed here in our office. When a diagnosis is made then the appropriate treatment recommendations can be given.

Our office is committed to providing the highest quality of care in a warm and nurturing environment. We know that coming to a new doctor or going to see a specialist can be scary. So we want to make it as easy as we can. Please let us know what we can do to make your visit go more smoothly.
